Killing the Time

After a month missing from this blog, finally I come back again..hahaha...Actually, I'm doing nothing lately after I finished my exam weeks...I'm just too lazy to open up my laptop and connect it to the internet. Not only that, my mobile phone was also offline..So for the last week, I'm just stayed at home and watch movies and didn't have any connection to the outside world except with my family and people who sent me a text message..

Honestly, I do not know what I am going to write now.. I just want to kill some times right now because I'm waiting for my next class and I'm almost death of boredom...Waiting like this without a friend or two just make my eyes want to close a.k.a sleepy..I just don't know what to do to kill the time..*sigh* I feel so sleepy right now....

..A Beautiful Moon with its ring..

Yesterday, the moon was so beautiful. Why did I said beautiful? Because yesterday I saw a moon which surrounded by its ring... I wished I can capture some photos, but unfortunately my mobile phone's camera can't capture the ring of the moon..I also had wanted to write about it as soon as I saw that beautiful view, but the second unfortunately was,, my internet was in trouble again...*sigh*...So, I insert the picture from google....

Well, this picture can describe exactly the picture of the moon which I saw yesterday...

I usually look at the night sky when I have a night walk with my doggie and for a moment, enjoyed a beautiful scenery sometimes...Well, I said sometimes because some nights, the sky is just dark and covered with clouds or nothing special but some nights, the scenery is so beautiful that can make up my mood for the whole night...

I wish I can see another awesome view again and also I wish you (the reader) also can see the beautiful side in the darkness of the night...Night are always covered with the silence and darkness but the silence and darkness also can give you some peace in the heart and some beautiful scenery to refresh your mind...

So many tasks, so little time, so blank in mind....

Because of the mid semester exam are coming in front of my eyes, it seems like assignments or papers that are given looks like an Everest Mountain. And it really makes me felt so much horrified. That's why I use this font to emphasize my feeling...(hahaha...)
Right now, I really have no idea in doing my assignments. I don't know what I will write or how I'm gonna do my assignments...I wish after I write something here, there will be some ideas pop out in my mind so I can start doing my homework *pray*..

Honestly, I know why I can't do my assignment, especially the most "kepepet" one that will be submitted in two days. That's because I really don't understand the theory that I must use in the assignment although I've already Google it and read from several articles beside from the theory book. I also can't find the literary work that can be analyzed using that theory as the example in my paper. All of that make my brain become blank because it can't think of any solutions.

*intermezzo* I forgot that I put my doggie outside the house because I'm thinking about what I'm going to write until she barks a moment ago..haha *intermezzo*

I wish I can get through this week safely and I wish it will be fast because no matter how, I'll always finish my assignments although I don't understand it..So sometimes I'll just write what my hands are going to write without thinking about what I was writing *geezz* .. I hope I won't stay like this forever...

REPORT....What is that ?

          What is Report ???

According to ardictionary.com there are several meanings, such as :
  1. An account or statement of the results of examination or inquiry made by request or direction; relation.
  2. To return or present as the result of an examination or consideration of any matter officially referred; as, the committee reported the bill with amendments, or reported a new bill, or reported the results of an inquiry.
  3. To bring back, as an answer; to announce in return; to relate, as what has been discovered by a person sent to examine, explore, or investigate; as, a messenger reports to his employer what he has seen or ascertained; the committee reported progress.

A graph, table, or statistic may be included in arranging a report to emphasize something in order to persuade the reader of the report. Sometimes, a report with graphs and statistic are difficult to be understood because of the complexity of the data. In this case, an oral presentation is needed in order to make the report clearly understood by the audience(s). A good reports always end with a presentation (oral presentation).

Inspirations come as SUN suddenly shines in the darkness of my MIDNIGHT

Okay, the title is a little bit "lebay", but it is describing how I feel right now. Why? This is the story . . .

After having a dinner, I was going to send my blog's website link to my lecturer and write in "Midnight" again but my brother, who was only returning from work, hijacking the laptop and playing RO. At that time I told him to take a bath and have his dinner, but he said later. Okay, I was a little bit "seaworld a.k.a sewot" because I had to wait for him playing his game. While I was waiting for him, I laid my body in my bed while thinking ( the fact is I don't know what I was thinking) but suddenly I felt very sleepy. Then I closed my eyes and thought," I'll send it tomorrow then and have an earlier rest". When I was in the middle of dream and reality, suddenly I felt someone was reminding me that I've got something to do for tomorrow course. When I was trying to remember what was that, I open my eyes at once and that made me felt my head spins. Why? Because I suddenly remembered that I have a homework for tomorrow's course when my soul was in the middle of reality and dream and just another step into a dream's door.*sigh*

This is embarrassing. *blushing*. I have opened my "aib". *sigh* *closing my face*

The reason of this title is, well, I've shared about why I use Midnight Sun as my blog's name, right ? And now I'm feeling like having a sun shining in my midnight darkness again . . . *wow* *applause*  (btw , I'm taking a rest for a moment from thinking about what I'm going to write for my homework now) Suddenly I feel that I've already know what I'm going to do and write and all of that is in my head. The problem is how I can pour that idea before my head become "lemot" again. *sigh*

I think I'll continue to do my homework again now,,^^
Feel free to comment and share something,,readers...

Communication

"A major key to happiness is the quality of our relationships with those who are near and dear to us, and with all those around us!"

As quoted in this link http://www.hodu.com/default.htm

And now the question is : How to manage the quality in the relationship?

And the answer is clear enough, Communication.

With communication, we can share our thoughts, our experiences, our opinions, our disagreement and everything that disturb our relationship with other people. We also can solve the misunderstanding that occurred.

The next question is : How to perform a good communication in order to deliver the message successfully?

According to http://www.wikihow.com/Develop-Good-Communication-Skills , these are the keys :

  1. Know what communication really is: Communication is the process of transferring signals/messages between a sender and a receiver through various methods (written words, nonverbal cues, spoken words). It is also the mechanism we use to establish and modify relationships.

  2. Manifest constructive attitudes and beliefs: The attitudes you bring to communication will have a huge impact on the way you compose yourself and interact with others. Choose to be honest, patient, optimistic, sincere, respectful, and accepting of others. Be sensitive to other people's feelings, and believe in others' competence.

  3. Make eye contact: Whether you are speaking or listening, looking into the eyes of the person with whom you are conversing can make the interaction more successful. Eye contact conveys interest, and encourages your partner to be interested in you in return. In less intimate settings, when giving a speech or when in front of several people, holding the eyes of different members of your audience can personalize what you are saying and maintain attention.

  4. Be aware of what your body is saying: Body language can say so much more than a mouthful of words. An open stance with arms relaxed at your sides tells anyone around you that you are approachable and open to hearing what they have to say. Arms crossed and shoulders hunched, on the other hand, suggest disinterest in conversation or unwillingness to communicate. Often, communication can be stopped before it starts by body language that tells people you don't want to talk. Appropriate posture and an approachable stance can make even difficult conversations flow more smoothly.

  5. Have courage to say what you think: Be confident in knowing that you can make worthwhile contributions to conversation. Take time each day to be aware of your opinions and feelings so you can adequately convey them to others. Individuals who are hesitant to speak because they do not feel their input would be worthwhile need not fear; what is important or worthwhile to one person may not be to another and may be more so to someone else. In a world so very big, someone is bound to agree with you, or to open your eyes to an even deeper perspective. The courage to say what you think can afford you the opportunity to learn more than you knew before.

  6. Speak clearly enough to be heard: When you are saying what you think, have the confidence to say it so as to be heard. An appropriate tone and volume can inform listeners that you mean what you say, you have thought about what you are saying, and what you are saying is worth hearing. Using proper inflection helps ensure that your listeners hear exactly what you are saying, and reduces possibilities for misunderstanding.

  7. Practice: Developing advanced communication skills begins with simple interactions. Communication skills can be practiced every day in settings that range from the more social to the more professional. New skills take time to refine, but each time you use your communication skills you open yourself to opportunities and future partnerships.

  8. Develop effective listening skills: Not only should one be able to speak effectively, one must listen to the other person's words and engage in communication on what the other person is speaking about. Avoid the impulse to listen only for the end of their sentence so that you can blurt out the ideas or memories that come to your mind while the other person is speaking.

There are also some tips from the link :

    • Try to speak fluently and try to make sure people can hear you when you speak.
    • Make sure you're using proper grammar as well.
    • Never rush with your words. Listen carefully and speak slowly so the other person can decipher what you are saying.

Finally I decided the Blog's name

This time I've changed my Blog's name into "Midnight Sun". Why "Midnight Sun"? Well, honestly it just cross my mind but it feels right to describe my personality and my way in writing. I used to be a writer and I've published my work just once at my Junior High School's short story competition. Although I won, I felt embarrassed to show my work to others because at that time, there are so many good writers among my friends. Yes, I was lack of confidence at that time. But honestly, I'm still lack of confidence now.

Ok, back to the "Midnight Sun". The reason why I choose this Midnight Sun is because usually I got my inspiration about something and started to write when it's midnight. "Sun"? Sun can be interpreted as the sudden inspiration for me. Sun also can be interpreted as the time to work. People usually work in a day time when the sun is still shinning. So "Midnight Sun" as a blog is just like my place to write when I have sudden idea about what I'm going to write. I hope this blog can, well, improve my way in communicating what I want to share because I'm lack of this skill too..*blushing*

Another Discussion at Business Communication Class

My Business Communication Application - Session 1
